Singhdevhatdev photography: Hardev Singh Dev is a visual artist and a printmaker who works with photography and site-specific practices. He holds an MFA in Printmaking from Govt. College of Art, Chandigarh. Always looking for identity as a window of truth, he is not afraid of trespassing from one artistic discipline to another, contaminating each other. Thus drawing becomes performance, photography sculpture and disintegration creation. While questioning notions of immaterial labour, identity, belonging and home, through his performance and time-based art practice, he is interested in duration, dedication, daily practice, presence and matter of chance. He creates works across wide range of forms; namely video, installation, performance, printmaking and photography. Dev’s artistic practice is preoccupied with identity, class and utopia especially the minority’s issues of India.
